Verify a Roadprint
A Roadprint is a vehicle's living record on Motrcade: its photos, history, shows, and the documents behind them. There are two ways to check one.
Nothing to type. Scan it with your phone's camera and the vehicle answers with its story: the build, the shows, the stewards. If a scan brought you here instead of to a vehicle, scan again with the camera app itself, or look the vehicle up on the Main Drag.
Its last page carries a 64-character verification code (the manifest hash). Paste the verification code from a printed Roadprint below. A match means Motrcade issued that exact record. Records only ever grow and nothing gets erased, so a record that has grown since issue is normal life; the check reports both.

Motrcade Privacy Policy

Motrcade ("we") operates motrcade.com, a platform where a vehicle's history is recorded, shown, and passed to the next steward. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the controls you hold.
What we collect
Account. An email address and password (held by our sign-in provider, Amazon Cognito; we never see your password), a permanent username, a display name, and optionally a home city for nearby-shows features.
What you post. Vehicle records and their chapters (specifications, timeline milestones, record entries, show history), photos and videos, vault documents, comments, marketplace listings, club and show content. Posting is publishing: most vehicle, club, show, and marketplace pages are public by design.
Payments. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never store card numbers. We keep what we need to run the service: subscription status, show-entry and payment state, and payout account references for organizers.
Technical. Standard server logs (IP, timestamps, requests) for security and debugging, retained briefly. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
Controls you hold
VIN visibility. You choose per vehicle: full, partial (last six), or hidden. The default favors less disclosure.
Photo location data. We strip EXIF metadata, including GPS coordinates, from uploaded photos before they are stored and served.
Vault documents. Private by default. Each document is shared only when you explicitly publish it; private documents are served through short-lived signed links only to you. Published documents expose their content and a cryptographic hash so recipients can verify integrity.
Blocking and reporting. You can block members and report content; moderation actions are logged with an audit trail and an appeal path.
Club membership cards. The QR card check discloses standing only: handle, club and active state, never contact details.
The permanence principle
A Roadprint is a vehicle-history record. Completed stewardship transfers and the entries that document a vehicle's life are designed to persist with the vehicle, attributed to the people who made them, the way a signature persists in a logbook. Recent owner-reported entries can be deleted within 24 hours; after that, corrections are amendments, not erasures.
What you can remove. You can unlist a vehicle you steward at any time, which takes it off public discovery while the link still works. You can delete your own uploads and entries under the 24-hour rule above. You can delete a vehicle's record whole only while you are its sole contributor; once an organizer, a prior steward or another member has written into it, their entries persist attributed to them and your personal data is de-identified from the record instead of the record being erased. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal profile data on the same rule.
Export and continuity. You can export your data and any record you steward at any time. If Motrcade were ever to cease operation, we would give account holders notice and a window to export every record before anything went dark.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with processors that run the service (Amazon Web Services for hosting and email, Stripe for payments), with a show's organizer for entries you submit to their show (name, vehicle, entry details), with a club's officers for clubs you join, and when the law requires it.
The writing helper. When you ask it to draft your vehicle's introduction, we send your five story answers, that vehicle's record and any notes you type to an AI writing model (Claude, run through Amazon Web Services) to draft the words. The draft is yours to change; nothing is saved to the record unless you tap Save introduction, and we keep only a count of drafts per vehicle, never the text.
Transactional messages (receipts, entry confirmations, transfer and security notices) and organizer announcements for shows you entered or clubs you joined. Marketing mail, if we ever send it, will be opt-in and unsubscribable.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the Montana Consumer Data Privacy Act and similar state laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to appeal a refusal. Write to privacy@motrcade.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Children
Motrcade is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
Sign-in through Amazon Cognito, per-user private storage prefixes, short-lived signed URLs for private media, least-disclosure defaults, and audited moderation. No system is perfectly secure; report concerns to security@motrcade.com.
Changes
We will post changes here with a new effective date, and notify account holders of material changes by email.

1. The agreement
By using motrcade.com you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 to use Motrcade and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to buy, sell, subscribe, or run paid show registration.
2. Accounts
Usernames are permanent once claimed; they are how records stay attributed. Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Your content
You own what you post. You grant Motrcade a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the service (including on public pages, QR-linked pages, printed placards and dossiers you generate, and service emails). Post only what you have the right to post, including photos.
4. The record's integrity
Motrcade sells nothing if the record cannot be trusted, so these rules are load-bearing. Do not enter records you know to be false. Evidence labels are derived from sources, never self-asserted. A recent owner-reported entry may be deleted within 24 hours; after that, corrections are made by amendment so the history stays honest. Organizer confirmations come from organizers; platform-recorded events come from the system. We may remove fraudulent records and suspend accounts that fabricate history.
5. What a Roadprint is not
A Roadprint is a community and evidence-supported record of a vehicle's history. It does not replace a legal title, official vehicle-history report, professional appraisal, or independent inspection, and you should not rely on it as any of those.
6. Stewardship transfers
A transfer is offered by the current steward, accepted by the named buyer, and finalized by the seller. Completed transfers are permanent records of the vehicle's history. Motrcade records transfers; it is not a party to your sale, does not move sale funds, and does not transfer legal title. Disputes over a sale are between its parties.
7. Marketplace
The Swap Meet is a venue: listings, messages, and offers, with no platform payment rail by design. Transact carefully and locally where possible. No stolen goods, no counterfeit parts, no items illegal to sell. We may remove listings and restrict sellers.
8. Shows, clubs, and payments
Organizers set entry fees and policies. An entry payment is charged on Motrcade's Stripe account and the organizer's share is transferred to the organizer's connected Stripe account, less the platform fee; Motrcade is the merchant of record for that charge, and card processing costs, refunds and chargebacks settle against Motrcade's account first and may be recovered from the organizer's share. Refunds of entry fees are the organizer's decision except where the law says otherwise. Waivers and capacity rules are the organizer's; day-of safety is the organizer's responsibility. Club dues, where enabled, run the same way.
9. Subscriptions
Roadprint Plus and dealer subscriptions bill monthly through Stripe and can be cancelled any time through the billing portal; paid periods are not prorated. Prices may change with notice.
10. Conduct
No harassment, no impersonation, no spam, no scraping, no attempts to break the evidence system. Rate limits and link caps are enforced. Moderation may hide content, suspend accounts, or ban repeat offenders; actions are logged, and you may appeal (one open appeal at a time).
11. Copyright
We respond to DMCA notices sent to dmca@motrcade.com and will terminate repeat infringers.
12. Disclaimers and limits
The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties and our total liability is capped at the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the last 12 months.
13. Governing law
Montana law governs, and disputes belong to the state or federal courts of Montana, unless an arbitration clause replaces this section.
14. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced, and continued use is acceptance.
15. Labels, corrections and disputes
What a label means. "Sealed" means a document matches the cryptographic hash recorded when it was sealed: the file has not changed since, and nothing more. "Organizer-confirmed" means the organizer's account recorded that result. "Verified" means Motrcade reviewed the evidence a steward submitted. None of these is a warranty that an invoice is genuine, that work was performed, or that a claimant owns the vehicle; they describe the source and the integrity of an entry, not its truth.
Corrections. A recent owner-reported entry may be deleted within 24 hours. After that, an entry is corrected by an amendment that sits beside it, so the history stays honest. A current steward may annotate or dispute another contributor's attributed entry but may not remove it; removing another contributor's entry is a moderation decision.
Disputes. Duplicate records for one vehicle, replicas and tributes, pre-1981 chassis and body numbers, contested ownership, and a previous steward who cannot be reached each have a filing door. A disputed record or entry carries a contested marker while it is under review, the moderation spine reviews it with its audit trail, and the outcome is an amendment, a merge, a transfer, or a removal, recorded with a reason. You may appeal a decision (one open appeal at a time).

Every vehicle is somebody
A factory can build thousands of vehicles that look alike. Same year. Same model. Same engine. Same color. But life has a way of making every one of them different.
One gets driven across the country. Another spends twenty years in the same family. One becomes a race car. One becomes a show car. One gets restored bolt by bolt. One gets modified until almost nothing remains as it left the factory. Another survives almost untouched.
What matters isn’t rarity. It isn’t value. It isn’t perfection. It just has to matter to somebody. That is why Motrcade exists.
The vehicle is the profile
Most social platforms begin with a person. Motrcade begins with the machine. The vehicle has the profile. It has an identity. It has a past. It has a present. It belongs to clubs. It attends shows. It earns awards. And throughout its life, different people become part of its story.
The vehicle remains the constant. People are its stewards.
Ownership is temporary. The story isn’t.
A title tells us who owns a vehicle today. It doesn’t tell us everyone who cared for it before. Every steward leaves something behind: a modification, a repair, a photograph, a receipt, a road trip, a race, a trophy, a scratch, a restoration, a story, a memory.
Each steward is a chapter. The vehicle is the book. This place exists so the book doesn’t start over every time the title changes hands.
The Roadprint goes with the vehicle
Every vehicle leaves a trail through time. We call that its Roadprint: the accumulated record of what happened to the vehicle and what made it what it is today. Its build. Its restoration. Its maintenance. Its photographs. Its awards. Its shows. Its documentation. Its previous stewards. And, when possible, the evidence supporting those moments.
Memories are powerful. Documentation makes them durable. The Roadprint doesn’t belong to whichever person happens to own the vehicle today. The Roadprint belongs with the vehicle. New steward. Same story.
You sold the vehicle. You didn’t stop caring about it.
Anybody who has ever sold the right car understands. Years can pass and you still wonder: Where is it? Does it still exist? Did they keep the wheels? Did someone restore it? Is it still being driven?
You may no longer own the machine. That doesn’t mean the connection disappeared. Here, a former steward can remain part of the vehicle’s story: contribute period photographs, old receipts, firsthand history, and follow the machine long after the keys are gone. You don’t have to own it forever to be part of its story forever.
Machines bring people together
In garages. At cruise nights. On Main Street. At the track. Around open hoods. Beside motorcycles leaned onto kickstands. Sometimes the conversation begins with “What year is that?”, and twenty years later those people are still friends.
The machine gives people a reason to stop. The relationships are what make them stay.
Motrcade is where the vehicles gather
A motorcade is a group of vehicles moving together. Motrcade takes that idea somewhere new. This isn’t simply another place for people to post pictures of what they own. It’s a place where the vehicles themselves form the community.
Shows. Vehicles. Stewards.
Shows are where vehicles are recognized. A trophy shouldn’t disappear into a garage cabinet disconnected from the machine that earned it. The recognition stays with the vehicle.
Vehicles are what bring us together. A 1965 Corvette can belong beside a 2026 Mustang. A Harley beside a vintage Honda. A concours winner beside a half-finished project. There is no minimum value. It doesn’t even have to run to be alive. It just has to matter to somebody.
Stewards are the people who carry the stories forward. Ownership describes a legal relationship. Stewardship describes a human one. A good steward adds something to the vehicle’s life without erasing what came before.
History should accumulate, not restart
Today the history of an enthusiast vehicle is scattered everywhere: phones, photo albums, forums, auction listings, receipts, trophies, garage walls, hard drives, shoeboxes, memories. Every ownership transfer risks losing another piece. The record should grow. The story should become richer with time.
Identity is more than a VIN
A VIN tells us what a manufacturer produced. It doesn’t know about the engine swap, the twenty-year restoration, the teenager who learned to drive in it, the father and son who rebuilt it together, or the person who regretted selling it for thirty years.
The factory created the vehicle. Life created its identity.
Evidence matters
The best stories deserve something behind them. Not everything can be proven, and that’s okay. This is a place for preserving what is known, identifying what is believed, and keeping the evidence that remains. A place where enthusiasm and credibility can coexist.

A factory built thousands like it. Life made this one different. We believe the story should stay with the vehicle. We believe a machine can connect people long after ownership ends. We believe every vehicle has an identity worth preserving when somebody cares enough to preserve it.
